I was watching the Outlaw Garage "Drug Runner" episode tonight and low and behold there goes Ted cruising by in his roadster. Great shot of the Y-block. If you have on demand its season one episode 3 at Kontinentals The Day of the Drags, Vintage Drag Race last October 5th and 6th in Temple, Texas. More great coverage of our passion! Chuck

Chuck. Thanks for the heads up on that. I did see several film crews there that day but had no idea I was caught in one of their shots. I did a quick check and that episode airs again on the Discovery channel on Saturday at 11AM. I'll try to catch it on the recorder this time around.

Now that Jessie is just down the road in Austin maybe you should get in touch with him. He is definately into old style rods. Maybe we could wake him up on the Y-Block! Chuck

I'll have to watch it again. I missed it the first time I watched it.

Hats off to Chuck for catching that. If you blinked your eyes you’d have missed that. I'll add that used up about one second out of my allotted fifteen minutes of fame. For those of you that recorded the episode, it’s about seventeen minutes in from the start of the show.

I have to admit I had it recorded to watch later. At first glance I just caught a glimpse (which is what the shot turned out to be) so I went back to check for more. Glad I caught it. As far as Jessie James his record with women sucks but he builds some neat stuff. Now that he's into rods, and on TV he could possibly get the Y some good exposure. Chuck

Why do most of the "car" guys on TV think its necessary or "cool" to come across like a bad-a_ _! I wish Mr. James and Gas Monkey Garage were somewhere else but Texas! Mark

texasmark1 (11/27/2012) Why do most of the "car" guys on TV think its necessary or "cool" to come across like a bad-a_ _!Because that is what sells. I'll bet he's pretty decent in real life. Sure, he's messed up but everyone has skeletons in the closet.
