I thought Richie was doing well! This is a sad suprise. I bet he'll have the track all figured out by the time we get there. Chuck

Very Sad about Richie. He was still able to be up beat even in a wheel chair at the Y shootout this year. As Frank Rice said we are all getting older and we wont go on forever no matter what the the web site is called. With Richie and Bill Duncan gone there is a pretty big empty space in the pits.

Don.  Thanks for posting as you beat me to it.   Rich passed away yesterday (10/22/2012).  Don said he went peaceably but the two days before that were rough.  Rich will be missed.  God bless and rest in peace.

How sad, he seemed to be doing OK at Columbus, and was his usual friendly self.  Condolences to his family.

Bill & Ritchie were my son Reed"s, idols. They were the main reason he enjoyed going to Columbus. He would sit, with them and his brain was a sponge, soaking up all their idea's and tales of the past. Reed had those shirts made with Bill's '57 and Ritchie cried when Reed gave them to him last year...........BUT, they're in the BEST place now.....Godspeed....
