OK I know I could go and search but I thought it a little easier (lazier) to just ask you guys. What color combo would have been on the 239 in a '54 Ranch Wagon? Building one for a guy who wants the correct color. Thanks much!

Tim: I don't know for sure the color, but the '54 Ford Club should have the info you need. They are probably the ones responsible for the judging rules within their club.

The block is kind of a pale yellow color. Bill Hirsch has a color that is very close, I believe its a Packard color. Valve covers and air filter were red. Most of the add ons were black - generator, pulleys, breather, coil mount, etc. Not sure on the steady rest.

Tim, I used the Bill Hirsch paint from New Jersey. Engine and rocker covers. It's their packard ivory color
