Hey guys. My name is Chris I'm from Blum about midway between Ft. Worth and Waco. I love all things mechanical. Embarking on my first yblock adventure. Been lurking for a while and am about to get serious about my yblock project. It's gonna be a yblock powered '29 ford roadster. I like to do things a little outside the norm. I've had a few buddies a club members who really liked their y powered cars. Judging from this forum alone the y seems like an untapped resource for a 50's era hotrod. I'm super excited about this car I've been waiting for over ten years to build this car and am anxious to hear any and all advice from you guys thanks.

Chris. Welcome to the site. And as has been mentioned, I’m a little more than an hour to the south of you. Never hesitate to ask a question as there’s quite a bit of knowledge by just asking. Likewise, feel free to share your own input as questions come up. Again, welcome to the site.

Thanks guys. I'm wanting to get around 300 hp out of this y sounds like it shouldn't be too tough. It needs to look cool too which won't be an issue either. A visit to Ted's might be good for a little motivation. I've got a good buddy who was there recently to dyno an off topic engine. He said it was pretty overwhelming.
