Rick ,

Great photos .Just heard there will be no Qld Hot Rod Show this year ??? They moved it last year from Brisbane to the Gold Coast .All to do with the $ these days . Cost of hosting the show vs attendance ???? Where is all the new blood ???? Or is this a sign of things to come ??? Is Hot Rodding & classic cars coming to an end ??? Should I sell my cars & buy a Jap Drifter ??? Not while I still have my rear end pointing to the ground !!!!!!!!!!

Rick, all top quality cars and a dedicated group! I saw the green S/W at the geelong nationals where the guys had brought a car transporter from WA across with their cars.Smile.

Nice pics! Good club there with some nice cars.

As far as the scrub its facing the wall with the hood up. Probably broken! BigGrin

Our club has been going for four years and such is the interest in this era of cars, we have 60 members and 90 cars on our books. There is great interest here in the west for Y Blocks with most members keeping their original running gear. The cars are always appreciated when we have a run with passing motorists always taking photos on their phones.

Anyone can have a late model car that will probaly go better, drive easier and use less fuel, but they won't get anywhere near the smiles per mile!

Thanks for your comments.

Rick,

Thanks for that. Early July I registered my ute for the first time in an embarressingly long time. I have been intersted in joining a club and enjoying the social side of owning a Y block. So I just sent a email off to the NSW 49-62 Ford V8 club.

Very timely.

Cheers

Warren
