Anyone have a used up 56 teapot laying around they'd be willing to part with? Condition not important,as long as it's pretty complete.I have one that has a broken main discharge nozzle and need a replacement.

Ask Hoosier, I'd bet he has one or two.

Paul:

Do you need the brass tube that exits from the bottom of the bowl into the boost venturi, or do you need the die cast aluminum boost venturi itself?

John.......It's the brass tube in the main body. The shop manual calls it the main discharge nozzle. If I could get it out I could probably fix it,but it's stuck tighter than a tick. So,I thought I'd try to find a junked carburetor and just switch main bodies.

I have two, I'll go check the list #.  I checked them before and they were for a 56 312...I think the reference said it was for a Mercury.  I don't know if there is a difference between 56 Ford and Mercury 312 applications.

Paul:

I believe the tube you are talking about is in the float bowl, not the main body.

John........You're right. What you(and I) call the float bowl, the shop manual calls the main body.

Paul J.......The list on my carb is 1161 2.It came off of a 56 wagon with a 292 and stick overdrive.

Paul,

I checked and the 2 Holly 4000 Teapots I gave, they are:

ECZ9510H,, List 1161   1,  I don't know if the last 1 spaced out a ways is supposed to be there.

ECZ9510B, List 1161

They look like they are in good rebuildable condition. let me know if you need one.
