Anyone have pictures of a 55 -56 with "standard " 205 x 75 x 15 [or 205 x 70 x 15] whitewalls , lowered preferably. My whitewalls are cross plys and undersize so I would like to change to radials, I tried the spare I had which was a 205 x 75 thin w/wall and it didn't look right, just like to get a better idea of what it would look like. I did try to fit a 215 on a 6" rim on the back but looks like it will touch the leaver on the spats...damn!

Also anyone know what the length of a 56 vicky with continental kit is?

Thanks..

I have 215x75 on 6 inch wheels on my 56.I had to bend the latches a little on the skirts(Yank for spats)to keep the tires from rubbing them.

How low is you car at the back, have you had any problems with the tail shaft hitting on the back of the tunnel?

It's lowered about 3 inches, but I have 7 leaf springs from a wagon on it so it never hits the tunnel. It rides and handles a lot better with those springs on it,also.

You can use 15" x 6" chaser rims with these tires, without problems, may get close to top ball joint but no problem. these rims have row of holes around center but with yourwheel covers will be hidden, i run these on my cars as they are cheap and plentifull.

Bill,..Chaser rims..?? also called pursuit rims, is that what you mean? thats what I tried off an EL Falcon. unfortuneatly the two that had 215's on had been stabbed in the side wall so I couldn't pump them up but still I thought they would get too close to the lever in the spats .errr um skirts..
