I need a new dip stick for my 1963 292 truck Y-Block. Obsolete has one in their catalog, Page 59, but the description of what it fits is confusing.

Is there a difference in the dip stick length of the 54-56 truck Y-Block engines vs the 61-64's? In other words, will a dip stick for a 57 Y truck engine fit properly a 63 Y truck engine?

Dont know about diff in length, but there is a marked diff in width. The earlier stick wont come close to fitting in the later dipstick housring.

Thanks Mike. Hadn't even considered that the width could be different.
