Just got out of the hospital last week.Had a right hip replacement done.Wont be crawling under any car for several months although working uprite will be good in a couple of months.Had my left knee replaced in November.Amazing what they can do now with these new wonder materials they have come up with.30 years ago I guess I would have been living with worn out joints the rest of my life.I rebuild my old car with some reproduction parts and my surgeon rebuilds me the same way.Been a long winter but come spring I will be all set to go.

I always tell people I have lived through the best times in history. I can remember when I fell in love with a 56 Ford in the show room. Of course I had to wait until they were 5 years old until I could afford one. Those were fun times and I'm glad to I got to see them first hand And I have lived into an age where neither me nor my wife would still be alive had it not been for modern medicine. I suppose I don't need to tell you that you need to do what they tell you with therapy. You will be back to tinkering before you know it.

... Just had a friend that had the same thing (hip replacement) done. As Kenneth said, be sure to do EXACTLY what they tell you to do for follow-up. It's only been about three weeks for him and he's totally mobil with no pain or discomfort. Amazing!

Best Wishes for a speedy recovery! Smile
