With the typical heads-up post that usually accompanies scarce parts that pop up on Ebay or CL, I was surprised to see that no one brought these up. I didn't (until now) for selfish reasons Just wanted to let you guys know these are going to a good home...and will hopefully find their place on a traditionally-styled 20's-30's Ford hot rod as Y-block jewelry. I had wanted something along the lines of the (Edelbrock) set-up on my 'Bird, but a different brand (and not an Offy). When this popped up, the choice was clear. Not sure if it's a 435 or a 436 manifold, and I frankly didn't care. Very similar performance to 553 and 573 (Edelbrock) manifolds. What I really wanted were the Weiand cast aluminum valve covers. Also coming with the T-Bird thermostat housing, and a Weiand fuel block, not shown, for the 3x2 set-up.

I might be interested in the covers if you were willing to seperate. Buzz Didn't buy them to flip...and wasn't really expecting to win the auction either. I like obscure packages like this, and this one hopefully has found a permanent home... In hindsight, I'm glad I bought the "extra" set of Eelco aluminum wing nuts...looks like I'll need them. Now if I only knew someone who could put together a nice little Y-Block for me

Good going Todd!!! I also have a Y-And tri power and valve covers, A good friend "borrowed" my valve covers and brought them back to me polished. Lucky me!! Mine aren't quite as nice as yours but I can't wait to get them and three 2's on a motor in my '55 for a back in the 60's look. They are so neat to begin with and if you can polish them they look absolutely tremendous!!! Well Done Mike
I'd rather be lucky than good................. but good ain't bad!!

Great score! I just have to ask, was that an Ebay find, or was it CL? I haven't been too successful with CL. Most of the time they end up being wild goose chases... But, to find the Weiand pieces in great shape like they are? That's where it's at! Nice.

Great find. Another place to find y-block stuff is over on the H.A.M.B. Thats where I found the crank, cam, pistons and alot of other parts a few weeks ago. You also dont have to bother with "auction" hassels.

Todd, I am in the process of putting together a nice 312 shortblock that will need a home. The crank is ground and block in the machine shop. It will be 318 or 322 inches. Congratulations on yout new/old parts!
