Tim, that's got to be some heart-pounding action! You and Charlie are right on that record. It will definitely go down next time and the Y will reign supreme! Smooooth

Thanks Daniel!  To be honest the Y already reigns supreme at El Mirage, I'm just trying to break Charlies record in the same truck. Wink

Now Bonneville is another story, we need to get that one back from a Mopar. w00t

Hey guys, I just got this email from a fellow that interviewed me at El Mirage.  He says that my interview may just make it, it's good news as in it I talk up the Y-Block. Wink  I'll post the link as soon as I get word.

Here's the email. Smile

Tim,

I interviewed you out at El Mirage for Mobil 1 the Grid, our international motorsports magazine show.

We shot some great footage of the event on July 11. Our interview with you worked really well and we filmed some nice footage of your vehicle. As mentioned at El Mirage, we're keen to include some on board footage. As you often tape your runs, I was wondering if this might be something you could to help us with?

Might we be able to include your El Mirage footage in our feature on the event? The only potential difficulty is that we're editing the feature in a week's time.... I understand that you regularly upload your footage to youtube, so if you have the files on your computer then maybe we could look at getting hold of them for the edit?

Let me know if you think this sounds feasible, and we can look at the logistics of getting the material included in the feature.

Best regards,

Malcolm

Tim,

You don't mention what station or network he was from, is it an overseas network where we will never be able to see it? Make sure you get copies if so.

Maybe you could direct him to the Y Block Nationals in Columbus.

OK, looks like Sept. 3rd on the Speed Channel.

Tim,

I'm disappearing from the office for a while, but we've edited the El Mirage feature and I just wanted to tell you when it was airing on TV.

Our schedules changed a little and Mobil 1 The Grid containing the El Mirage feature will now air in early September. My SPEED channel schedule says that the episode containing the El Mirage feature will premier on 09/03/10 at 23.30 ET. However, please do check the listings a little nearer the time just in case SPEED change the time. Mobil 1 The Grid airs every Friday on SPEED.

I understand that the show is repeated on SPEED at various points over the weekend. We will also run the story on our website - www.grid1.tv - the feature will be available from Monday 6 September.

I hope the feature does justice to the sport of Land Speed Racing!

Thanks again for contributing to the feature.

Kind regards,
Malcolm
