When my car was painted at some point, someone got wild with a sander and put a nice set of scratches in the windshield. I decided to try a Eastwood glass polishing kit on it. After 2 hours I had a windshield that was barely usable. After 4 more hours I car see again but..... The sanding scratches are still there and now I have small circular scratches over the entire windshield. It is definitely usable but a new windshield is in my future. Mike

I tried the same kit on a friends rear widow for his truck.  SAme effect-went foggy and then lesser size scratches.  Took it to a windshield place and they said we'd have to "grind" forever to remove the scratches, then it would be distorted view.  He's looking for a new window.
