looking for rear disc brake kit for my 55 bird. does anyone know where I can geta set? 55birdman

They make kits for the rear for 8 and 9 inchers. I have never seen any for the earlier rears.

Rob recently mentioned putting a 9" in his 56 Fairlane. He bolted the stock 56 brakes and backing plates on. I would check to see if the 9" brake bolt pattern is the same. Could fit. Chuck

I have a 9 inch disc brake rear end from a linclon versailles ,the centerbolt span is the same as my 57 ranchero, should bolt in without alteration. Getting harder to find though.
