DANIEL TINDER (1/27/2010)
Back in the early 60s, when I was a no-nothing teenage "pump-jockey", the older scrub guys who hung around the gas station often made rude Ford jokes (the "fix-or-repair-daily" cliche was common). Out of frustration, and with no inherent wit, I blurted out that I had brought my Chevy tools along (dustpan & broom). To my astonishment, they all became quiet and looked down. I had apparently hit a nerve.

Daniel, i like that answer! Of course those guys forgot that the real explanation was First On Race Day! My often used remark when around those orange colored engines is" Where,s the chain?". Then they ask what chain? and i reply" thats attached to the boat! ".

I'm more of a hot rodder, so I don't get as bent about Chevy's...In general, they're too common and often a safety net for ease and budget...whatever!

I'm here because of the wealth of help and knowledge, and hopefully the ability to contribute from time to time. By I use the parts that work and contribute my finished "vision"...

My F-100 has CHEVY derivative column from Ididit, a Cadillac engine/transmission, Calipers from a Monte Carlo, rear end from a Lincoln, and 4 3/4" Chevy bolt circle on all the wheels...I'm not sorry...It goes really well and gets a lot of attention.
