Hey Tim- that's a beautiful bike. Congratulations! For Christmas my wife got me one half of a root canal on one of my lower teeth. Not as exciting as Y-block parts, but at least my tooth doesn't hurt any more. Do we know how to have fun, or what? I guess I need to make up a better wish list before Christmas. Enjoy that Triumph- Nick Brann, K.C., MO

Heh. I got some handmade bookmarks from my daughter. On one of them, she made a Massey-Ferguson 97 pulling a hayrack--very appropriate!

I got an inexpensive dedicated digital capacitance meter. Was finally able to test the big bag of NOS condensers I bought cheap on eBay. I know resin-based antique electrolytics' values are usually way out of spec, but I thought the tinfoil & oiled paper condensers might be an exception. Boy, was I wrong! Looks like, the older they are, the higher the capacitance. Most all will likely prove unusable for dialing-in breaker point metal transfer, as their values tested 40% higher than OEM specs. Good for emergency replacement only, and if they'll actually work when hot is likely a crap-shoot.

That's a beautiful bike Tim, You have a really unique stable, and a very cool wifey. I got a shot in the arm (cash ) from the in-laws for a set of new shoes for the '60, and a lot of little doo-dads for the 'Bird...hope to have the 'Bird back together again before the weather turns fair again to make my wifey happy, and hoping to bring the '60 to the Eagle Field drags in May for a possible grudge match race with Tim's '58...

I gave myself a set of John's Ram Horn exhaust manifolds for my Uni. Just have to figure out what to paint/coat them with to keep them nice.

Todd, I don't know how evenly matched we would be, 500 against a 313, but I suppose I could give you a couple of car lengths. Here's a little video of the bike. Since it was shot I have adjusted the valves and tuned it a bit, runs a lot better. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AnvSTH4U_so
