Ihave a McCullough supercharger from a 63 studebaker avanti.

It is complete.  I kept it as a spare for my 63 R2 Avanti.

Question is...is this usable on my 272 yblock?  I have thought of this before, but now just bought a new engine and get it tomorrow.

It would look awesome if it was cost-effective to install and work.

If not....will sell it.

Bill

If you have all the brackets and the crank pulley its not a bad install. Will work with your engine but would probably need a different cam. John Mummert has a repop of the f-code blower cams. You may not have to change the cam right away but it sure helps the power curve. What all did you get with it? Chuck in NH

Looking for McCullouch VS57 brackets and parts. Also looking for 28 Chrysler series 72 parts. And early Hemi parts.

I got this in Monterrey,California with my 63 Studebaker Avanti.

I always dream't of installing it on my 56 F100.  I am sure I will need my buddy to install it,and hopefully race it at the yblock races in Columbus.  That would be cool......Bill

I'm in the process of building a stroked and blown Y-Block with a VS-57 supercharger and there is alot more too it than bolting it on and away you go. Carburator blow-through modifications, fuel pump modifications set-up of the selenoid to regulate the boost, etc, etc...I'm getting a real education.

Rono...I am sure that y will run great.

I am going to use this supercharger and install it in a yblock but have a few trucks to finish first.

The avanti setup is almost complete and would sure be cool on my 56.

If not, will still have a spare for the stude.....Bill

Bill, Sorry, I'm a little confused... is the blower for sale or not? It appears that it is not... maybe this should be discussed in another section so you get more responses? Just askin'...

What is it worth?  I have to get the boxes out and post some pics.  It was a spare for the r2 avanti, and I thought of selling it.  If not....then I will use it on a yblock.

I am new and not sure how you guys are...but will show some pics and then you tell me.

Thank you
