What I am going to do when I get a 292 is to use a FMX trans and smallblock torque convertor plus a 59 to 62 flywheel,I will be putting it on a air cooled bellhousing which I think needs a couple holes redrilled and a spacer made where the convertor goes into the flywheel.  If I had a FOM then I would change some parts around to use the original convertor but I let all that go.
