Simo... you're the man!! We are all waiting for the full coverage of all the problems you have had so far with that setup BigGrin.  That might even cover more pages on Y-block Magazine than our last story w00tw00t.

Intake manifold totally my own design to adapt two 4 X 1,5" Throttle bodies from 600cc Suzuki GSXR.

Tomorrow I try get rid of that distributor what is loaned from Tero. I change it to coilpacks from this millenium Mustang.

Do not.

Pick up got more space in engine room, so you don't have to.

Just spend about three years to stuff crapyard's the most mismatching parts in engine bay and weld up the rest.

...or buy Nelson's Intake manifold and Haltech.

Ok.

I changed the loaned dizzy(thanks goes to FFCF's fire truck and Tero) to Ford EDIS(Electronic distributorless Ignition system) and Mustang coilpacks and now I got the first distributorless Ford Y-Block, I think.

Car is '59 Ford Fairlane 500 Galaxie 2d sedan

'55 272ci industrial engine is loaned from Tero, cause my own 292 was so bad.

A new '62 292 is under construction with 6.3" Chevy K1 rods and Mummert's 3.82" stroker pistons.

Intake manifold is totally handmade from steel (I got no alu-welding machines)

'59 ECZ-G heads got 0.05" chopped decks, ported exhaust ports and intake bowls

Throttle bodies with injectors are from 600cc Suzuki GSXR (8 x 1½") (Motorcycle stuff!)

Coilpacks are from ~'96 Mustang

Crank trigger disk is made with laser and bolted on damper, sensor is from some ~95 Escort

Megasquirt II DIY EFI controls all fuel and spark things and is tuned with a laptop.

Knock sensor is coming in some day, but its not so necessary in naturally aspirated engine.

I dont know where Lambda sensor is from, maybe Volvo or Renault, but JAW DIY Wideband Controller with Bosch sensor is waiting.

Cam is customgrind in Finland and got a lot of duration (290-300)(Idle speed is still under 600-800rpm, individual runners with EFI starts to feel a good idea)

Valve springs and other valve things are Comp Cams stuff.

Headers are from ~'87 Chevy Pick-Up and are modified with homemade flanges(some other headers are better choise)

TCI Street Fighter AOD with 2400 stall converter and TCI Outlaw Pistol Shifter(pistol shifter in '59 Ford? It looks horrible but I wanted it) is fitted with Bendsen's AOD-adapter and driveshaft from '63 Fairlane.

Rear end got 1:3.89 rear gear with Lock Right.

Exhaust is 2.25" with two long glasspacks.(Pretty loud, I know, but 2.5" wont fit under lowered suspension)

Great Horror-movie for old school carb tuners BigGrin. Really waiting to see you to drive your '59 like you did with your Thunderbird last summer w00t.
