For sale an original 1957 Ford Power Steering unit, 100% complete & correct, restored and professionally rebuilt. This will fit all 57 Ford Passenger Car Models except Thunderbird. Comes correctly painted with all new bolts, hose's, bushing, PS Belt, rebuilt PS Pump, rebuilt Control Valve and a rebuilt Slave Cylinder with a new induction hard chrome shaft (the shaft has a thicker and harder chrome shaft than the original Ford shaft) not soft stainless steel shaft that some rebuilders are using.. Ford boasted up to 75% more ease in steering effort in a 1956 Ford Fairlane TV commercial, so if your tired of 2 arm armstrong steering I have a solution that will make your Ford a pleasure to drive once again. The power steering draglink a direct replacement of your manual draglink, no holes to drill, nothing to cut and no modification needed. Use your original manual steering box but you will have to use the 57 powers steering pitman arm which is included in this unit. For you guy that are thinking of the rack and pinion set-ups there is a major drawback to these set-up, it may steer like a Corvette but you will lose alot of your steering radius. The 57 Ford factory set-up is a very efficient in reducing steering effort. This set-up come complete with with a easy to follow and detailed set of instruction of how to install the set-up, about a 5 to 6 hour job. All you will need to buy is two quarts of Ford type "F" or "FA" transmission fluid. Yes, this will fit and work on your 59 if you have a Y block. The 59's used a later Eaton pump with different mounting brackets at the water pump and on the ps pump. The 59's also used a different spindled ps pitman arm, which I do have instock. The 59 add-on crank pulley offset is different then the 57 and the 59's also use's a different hose retainer bracket, the slave cylinder is slightly larger and the control valve uses a different seal kit. I have all of correct components to supply you with a 59 Ford PS unit. Shipping will run about $45 via UPS with insurance.
