Y_guys       On my Ford T-5 conversion, I used a #6203 ball bearing.

It fit the flywheel and imput shaft fine, no bushing or anything.

                  The trans was a '93 mustang and flywheel '60 f100 292.

                            Hope this helps............Bill

I'm using a Ford T5. Now you're getting me worried. That is one thing I did not check because it didn't look different and I had not heard that a different bearing was required. How much smaller are we talking? I don't recall Mummert saying anything about that when I was ordering the parts from him. There isn't a different pilot bearing listed on his site. It even says "Existing bellhousing, clutch fork, throwout bearing, pressure plate and pilot bearing can be reused."

Might we be talking about the throwout bearing? That is smaller on the T5.

Shouldn't have to press anything into the pilot bushing for a T5. I didn't have to, anyway.

I have done two T-5 converts now and both I had to use the roller inside of the old bronze bushing.  I used the Ford T-5, is that what you used?  The input shaft is smaller on the tip than the old three or four speed.

When I got the new pressure plate and the disc they supplied me with a roller bearing and brass bushing.  The reemed out the bushing and pressed in the roller bearing.  I checked and the bearing is the correct size for the input shaft.  Bing

Bing,

do you have the bearing for the T-5 pressed into the old bushing?  If so just find a big socket that is close to the dia. of the old bushing an give it a little tap tap tap-a-roo till it seats.  It should go in fairly easy.
