Hope to visiting local wrecking yard this week with my list of things for my '55 Town Sedan...top of list is seat belts (any ideas?), also few pieces of chrome side trim (if so lucky), maybe speedo cable, and sun visors.

You will probably have a hard time finding sun visors. The way they were built was not one of Ford's better ideas. The pot metal bracket that screws to the roof is usually broken.

I'm using generic lap belts from advance auto and they work great, but they don't look as good as the originals from the mid fifties and they cost a lot less.

I have in my car belts from J.C.Whitney.They look a lot like what would have been used in the fifties cars.I don't remember exact cost, but I think all 4 sets were about $100.

Well, I made it to wrecking yard and only came home with seat belts and those may or may not work. I got the 4 sets of shoulder/lap belts for front and rear and single belt for middle rear seat....now I just have to figure out how to fabricate boxes to hold the retractors and where to put them and the shoulder mounts (when there is a will, there is a way). The cost for the 5 sets was $59.15 (JC Whitney has the non shoulder belts for $20. each and would probable be a easy job of mounting, they even sell a mounting base for around $7. each). Oh well! I need to try out my new mig welder anyway.
