Putting My Engine back in. Having trouble aligning Engine and Transmission. Are the side Mounts both mounted facing same direction or opposite direction on each Side. Getting Old and can't remember. Been apart for a little while. ASAP response please. Thanks!

OK So both Sides the same. I thought so, Got a gap about 3.5 inches between Trans and Engine block. Have loosen trans mount and pull together with longer bolts. Never installed Engine without Trans before. Thanks!

Wait and see what others say ...
Something about reversing the insulators for engine clearances ...

I initially installed backwards. That will not work that way at all.

Six cylinder and V8 mounts look the same but have different offset between the upper bolt holes and the lower studs. That causes the engine to be mounted in the wrong place rore/aft in relation to the trans mount. Maybe you have the wrong mounts.

The Mounts I have are used for last five Years. I think undoing rear Mount on Transmission will get my problem solved. Last 2 Times I pulled Engine I did Trans. together and put them back in together. Thanks!
