G'day, I am looking for some good or already built ECZ-G heads or 113's, I would prefer build so I can use without the wait of a machine shop. I am in the Western suburbs of Chicago, the closer the better, I am willing to travel a few states over or postage if it's within budget. Appreciate any leads I have a 292 that's decent in the lower end, but my old truck heads are not worth putting money into.
Thanks

If your 292 is completely stock, and you don't intend to make any other modifications (other than the heads), you probably won't see the full benefit of just replacing the heads. If you're still interested, try to obtain later ECZ-G heads with a date code of May, 57 or later, or 113 heads, all of which are "posted."

I have non-posted ECZ-G heads. Including parts, machine work (other than porting), and assembly, I have about $1800 invested in them (not including rocker assemblies). I'm not selling them, but want to give you an idea of what you're in for.

I have a couple of sets of Y block heads that have been completely rebuilt for the Engine Masters Competition that were dyno tested and removed after only a few dyno pulls.  Both sets are set to ~69cc combustion chambers, new 5/16" stem intake and exhaust valves, bronze guides, hardened exhaust seats, competition springs, retainers, locks, keepers, pressure tested, and competition ported.  They made over 435 hp on the 304cubic inch engine in pre-competition testing.  They were only removed and each set compared to find an issue with the engine that turned out to be the camshaft, not the heads.  We tried 3 different sets of heads, 5 different sets of springs, etc, and these two sets made equal horsepower with the last set installed, so we left the last set on for the competition.  I have no use for them, they are sitting on the shelf in plastic bags since the competition.  I have approximately $2300.00 in each pair, and would sell either for $2000.00.  Ted can vouch for the dyno testing is there is any question to this post.  Joe-JDC

Hey Joe,

They sound like nice heads, and i am familiar with your work and your contributions on the forum, But they are probably higher than I was looking for. Thanks
