RIP Gil.

Gil has been a wealth of information for those restoring their Thunderbirds and Y powered cars.  Several years ago, the internet was flooded with claims that one of the 1957 Daytona Thunderbirds went 205 mph on the beach.  Gil was able to confirm that claim was internet hype and subsequently he released a paper documenting the real mph as well as showing a history of how that claim came to be almost truth.  Thanks Gil for setting the record straight.
