Not Y related, but today my Model T Ford is 100 years old. Still on the road sometimes in nice weather.

John, Dianne’s uncle Bob had a 1921 model T touring that he bought about 1950. He brought it over one Sunday afternoon and let me drive it around the development. With my bum leg, I had to sit in the middle of the seat because I couldn’t get my foot off the peddle with the hand brake being there. I would have liked to get it when he passed, but it would have been too awkward to drive. It only had about 15,000 miles on it. His daughter sold it a couple years ago. Apparently I was one of the very few that was allowed to drive it. His rear tires were replaced in the 1990’s. He said they were Montgomery Ward Riverside tires that were put on in 1923.
