Thanks Jeff Brilliant description " good and warm to the touch after driving but not so hot that I can't keep my hand on it" mines like that after 2 to 3 minutes at 2000 rpm plus 10 minutes at tick over/idle. I think its OK, just was not expecting it. Happy New Year stuey

The reservoir on my 64 F100 (stock system) gets good and warm to the touch after driving but not so hot that I can't keep my hand on it. I haven't used a thermometer or pressure gauge on the system so that's all I can offer at this time. The system has good clean type F transmission fluid. Hope this helps, JEFF..............

Hi folks. Hope you are all keeping well. Here in the UK we are in "lock down" so its nice to tinker with the old truck. Keeps me sane. Question, do power steering pumps get quite warm just while ticking over? I have'nt much experience of feeling peoples pumps! Thanks stuey
