Not sure you noticed but I just got my father in laws September 08 issue of Street Rodder and there is a nice article on the Y.  Article really is pretty good on the Y up as a nice power plant, having aftermaket parts available and is about 7-8 pages.  Mentions Mummert, Red's Headers and Clay Smith Cams.

I'll have to do the old "SuperMarket" search and see if I can get a copy. Any Yblock presstime is always good.

Thanks for the info concerning the article in street rodder, I found the article before the Y-Block article very informing..

The new rodent, only confirms my belief that the people at GM have never engineered anything except laquer paint, and they stole that from dupont..

check out the pages 82 to 86... sure does look like a Y...??

If only Ole Henry hadn't angered FDR...??

Brother and I own/operate 1957 Ford Fairlane 312/4x2 and two 1963 Falcons 302 rollers carburated 600cfm, FE427 sitting in shed..
