I can’t figure out how to find my old thread on the IPad. So here’s a new start. I reupholstered the seat last year and was told recently to get it out of the family room.



So I started working on the truck again.

I got an engine from Harry last summer, so it is time to put it in. It is a car engine so I need to put a truck timing cover on.





They make a gasket kit just for that. Included the front crankshaft seal.

Bought a Harbor Freight engine hoist last fall, otherwise to use the beam in the garage, I would have to push the truck out on the street, turn it around, and push it back in.

I think I’ve read that you can’t put a car engine in a truck because of the front sump. I have a car engine in my ‘54 F100 and seen no reason not to put it in this one.
