So I'm looking to keep Stock Straight  Axel,  Has Leafs in Rear ,  Someone put this huge Tank under the truck front back,  I just saw one on face book , had straight axel Lowered , even had stock gas tank , PS you can put a mustang  tank in the bed  reasonable 64-68 mustang tank 32 5/8 x 24 1/2 16 gal c5zz9002D for $119 plus stuff ..  but I'm all for stock for most part , gas slosh in cab???

I'd also like to do new exhausted NON y block stock , to get dual exhaust ..  Some things need fixing  sorry .. Putting c 4 stock column in pretty quick..  Love the lines of a 56 .. Got lucky here.. Looking to get her out of the garage soon!

One suggestion for dual exhausts would be rams horns.  Available aftermarket and I see used originals for sale here and there.  Just make sure you get th ones for a Ford Y Block.  The ones for the Lincoln engine are different and will not bolt up.

The rear outlet manifolds cause interference with the steering column on the left side.  What I did on my '53 with a 312 was to use a right hand manifold on the left side, which pointed the outlet forward and downward, where it is easy to make up an exhaust pipe from the manifold to the muffler.
