Hello everyone. I am trying to install the generator brackets on my 1956 Customline with 272 but I do not have the bolt that goes in below the exhaust manifold and into the side of the block near the oil dipstick. Does anyone happen to know the size of that bolt? I went through all of my spare bolts and don't have anything to match it unfortunately. Thanks for your help.

I don't recall a bolt going into the block.  There is one that goes into the boss on the lower edge of the cylinder head.  That bolt is 5/8-11, probably not more than 3/4" long.  A 5/8 wrench fits the head of the bolt.

Whoa!!!  Big mistake!  The bolt is NOT 5/8-11.  What was I thinking?  It is 7/16-14.  Length is still not over 3/4".  The only thing I got right was the wrench size, 5/8".  Sorry.
