A friend gave me a copy of Hemmings Classic Car, issue #117, dated June 2014. In their Tech Talk section, a person wrote in saying they had a problem with a 1956 Holley 4000 "Teapot" carb & wondering about a conversion to an other carb. The answer was that a later 4150 Holley was a possibility, but a later manifold would be required... However, again, no mention was made of the incompatibiliy of that later carb with the original vacuum advance only, Load-o- Matic distributor.. This missed information just seems to persist..

That's the Difference between the "Experts" who write for a Living and the One's that actually work on Y-Blocks, frequent this Site, and THEN write about Y-Blocks.

For so called experts, the people at Hemming's make a lot of errors regarding cars.
