Paul, I guess I should have mentioned in the beginning that this 312 is built and way from stock. It has all good internal parts and mummert aluminum heads. I've been drag racing a long time. I'm not some kid just bashing and old Y-block. I took Jerry Christren's advice when building this engine and have know him for 20 plus years. I actually own his 56 2Dr Mainline that he raced for many years. Sorry for any confusion. Thanks. MVP56
