NOTE: MY ENTRY BELOW HAS BEEN CORRECTED. I HAD INCLUDED INFORMATION ABOUT THE eBay SELLER THAT WAS INCORRECT. I HAD MISTAKEN THE eBay SELLER'S NAME (HANDLE) WITH SOMEONE ELSE. Welcome to the site. A reproduction E code garbage can fuel filter unit was recently offered on eBay. The write-up in the ad indicates that the seller has several of these that he purchased ~10 years ago. Click the link below that will take you to that previous eBay listing. Click the note in the pictured eBay item that says 'show original listing'. In reading the seller's information, he indicates that he has several. Consider using the eBay communication system to write the seller to see if he'll re-list the item. -I believe that the listing just expired and he has not re-listed it as yet. The asking price is what I have seen these offered for previously from other sellers. Too, Forum member DryLakesRacer recently indicated that Concours Parts in Carson City, Nevada is offering what appears to be the same repro item in their catalog listing. I looked in a friend's 2017 Concours Catalog this evening, but the filter assembly was not listed. -That doesn't mean that Concours doesn't have them for sale. As you may know, numerous reproductions of these 'garbage can' fuel filter units have been offered over the years. Some have been better than others in the quality of the reproduced components. Click the link below to access the expired eBay listing. http://www.ebay.com/itm/1957-FORD-THUNDERBIRD-NEW-DUAL-QUAD-GARBAGE-CAN-E-CODE-FUEL-FILTER-/263125180361?hash=item3d437b9fc9:g:J5UAAOSw~AVYqJuf&vxp=mtrHope this helps.

Thank you very much for the information, I just emailed the seller to see if he has one, so I will see what happens. It is the last item that I am after, would be nice to get an original. The last original one I saw on ebay years ago was listed at $900, should have grabbed it and bitten the bullet.I guess we all have one of those stories.

And I thought it was bad many years back when I paid $250 for a prety much complete passanger car E setup just to get the fuel filter. Carbs, intake, fuel filter, some linkage, no vally pan but passanger car air cleaner. Those were the days!

That was a steel this should make you happy. 12 years ago I paid $3600 for just the original two correct carbs, intake and aircleaner. After sending the carbs back to USA to be restored, restoring the other two parts and grabbing the valley pan. fuel lines etc it ended up costing $10,000 in NZ dollars, equivalent of $7500 usd. So you got a bargain. I happy though, world just getting bigger, better to grab the items when you can, rather than kick yourself latter for missing out. As they say "better to regret the things that you did do, than the things that you didn't" Take care up there in the U.S from us down here with the penguins.
