What's the best way to install a tach in my 56' mainline? Has new electronic ignition with two wires coming out of the disi. Don't remember the brand name. Will post when I get home if needed.

Impossible to say without knowing what you have. You can download instructions for the common brands of electronic ignitions from the manufacturers website.

If it's a modern tach, it will have instructions for most common ignition systems. Typically keyed power, ground, and one lead to the dizzy module, or the ground side of the coil. Box ignitions like MSD have a tach output wire. Vintage tachs with a sending unit, we'll need to see the wiring diagram and do some research.
