I was just wondering if anyone knew of when Ford decided to built it's first OHV engine, including the Lincoln line. Can you give a website for reading? thanks

52 Lincoln???? I did read of a monster V8 that Ford supposedly built for tanks in WWII that was an overhead.
As far as the 52 Lincoln, Ford probably decided to build it around 1950 or so as they plan 2-3 years ahead of production
Wikipedia doesn't show it as an overhead, but lists the 52 Lincoln as a Y Block

the 1100 ci all aluminum was originally built for aircraft, but it was way to large and under powered. It was used in many US tanks... 500hp, that is a general view of the engine
