Good Morning folks

I need new springs, the existing mono leaves are just too low. I've looked at Detroit Spring and General Spring the price difference is quite noticeable.

I know the old adage "you get what you pay for". Anyone care to comment on or have experience of either company.

Thanks.

Stuey...I got the springs for my '56 F-100 from Mid Fifty.  Here is a link to their website. http://www.midfifty.com/  They have a good section in their catalog that explains the various spring and shackle combinations.

Stuey, you don't say if front or rear, but I'm guessing front.  No experience with Detroit or General Spring, but for what it's worth, I have two-leaf springs from Speedway Motors on my 56  that give me five inches from top of spring to bottom of frame with no body, only a 351 block and heads and AOD tranny for weight.  Speedway claims a three inch drop. http://www.speedwaymotors.com/Posies-Super-Slide-Springs-D154F-53-56-Ford-Pickup-Drop-Front-Springs,37072.html
