Mummert has stainless dipstick tubes. I got one for my 56 and it is very good quality.

No repros are available that I can find, been looking for a long time. They do make repros for Tbirds (side mounted). I bought a TBird one (longer that the sedans (front mount) and remarked the dipstick to the sedan markings.
Since they make repros for the Tbird I cannot see why they don't make repros for the sedans.

CASCO also has the Tbird dipstick. I imagine all the Tbird parts suppliers have them
The truck tube and the TBird tube are different than the sedan tube as the trucks and Tbirds have a rear sump pan. .

In the 57-66 Ford Truck catalog, there are 3 or 4 dipsticks and tubes for Y-Blocks alone. I just cleared eBay of NOS truck dipsticks, as well as ordering a repop.. Johnny, I looked yesterday and by chance, I do have a sedan version in one of my spare engines, but I don't want to sell it yet. Maybe in a couple months. I've got some oil pan mods in the works and I may use that dipstick.

I had an new/old chrome Mopar dipstick that was long enough. Cut off a bit of the end to match the original did an oil change, ran the engine then scored a line on the stick at the full point. I guess if you did one less quart made a mark and then added another quart, mark. You would have the full and one quart low lines.
Y's guys rule! Looking for McCullouch VS57 brackets and parts. Also looking for 28 Chrysler series 72 parts. And early Hemi parts.
