Ouch.... one of my piston pin retainer clips is bad, I'll need to get one for my 239Y somehow, I know we could maybe find something that would work but ... I think it's a lot better to use the real thing. I'm sure all Y-block clips are the same size, If somebody has an old one laying around tape it to a piece of paper, include your name & address, send it in a simple envelope, I'll return a crisp 5 dollar bill to you ASAP, depend on it. Thanks much, Warren Sjoberg 14942 62nd Ave. Milaca, MN 56353

Thanks a lot Carl, I hated to put in some oddball clip that might come loose, break and then we have the pin wearing thru' the cylinder wall, I've seen this before and it wasn't pretty. I'll send the 5 buck bill to you right away, ... Thanks again, Warren, in MN

I also sent you a couple of different styles of wrist pin retaining clips yesterday. No payment necessary. Between what Carl and I sent, you should be able to match up a clip with what you already have.

That might be Carl but you answered my call and came with what was needed and in a hurry. A deal is a deal so expect the 5, have some coffee or buy some gas for your wheels and be happy, we are. I'll be 83 soon, still working with this Ford stuff. My '54 fordor Crestline has been to KY, WV, NY, CT, PA and all points in between those and Minneapolis MN, it's been to Montana also. The mill in this thing is worn out, it was time to do it, I had this spare 239 so opted to give that new life, it's going to be fine. I run OD with a 3:54 rear. Also have a like new restored '36 Ford, '53 Stude' Champ, '48 Willys Overland station wagon and a '49 Ford tudor in primer, ready for paint and then assembly. People tell me I'm nuts, quit the work. Guys I know that did that are dead. Anyway.... thanks much again, Warren, in MN

Carl ... Ted has sent me the clip or clips, he gets the five bucks whether he wants it or not, a deal is a deal and I'm one happy camper, now with the right part to put in my old 239 so it doesn't puke out in Wyoming or Montana, these are places where you don't really want that, beautiful .... but not the puking. Yep, Carl, Ted or anybody is welcome here at this ol' farm in central MN, we have cars and we have junk, my wife makes fine apple pies too. We're at 14942 62nd Ave., Milaca, MN so set your GPS and drive. Which reminds me: I made a metal tube that holds four D cells, that's wired in series with my 6v system, to a cigar lighter mounted under my '54 dash on plastic, reverse polarity and 12v output. This nicely runs cell phones, GPS or any low draw electronics for charging or whatever. Nice to have GPS on long trips in our '54 Crestline, some of you might want to do this, it's been very handy. I also have it in our '36 Ford.
