Chuck: Just a thought.. does your friend want to use the valley pan complete with the downdraft tube? Or is a PCV setup planned? If the tube isn't needed, it would likely reduce shipping costs..

The valley cover determine the size of the box.  The tubing just help filling up the space.  UPS prices are based on weight and volume.  They used to be just on weight...I miss those days.
