My name is Dave and I've been enjoying and learning from this great place since 2005. Been collecting parts to build a 312 to replace the 223 in my sixty for a while and thought it was time I joined. So, hello to all!

I'm not the brightest when it comes to computers, so bear with me. Even though I've read a lot. I'm sure there will be lots of questions. Dave.

As a long time visitor, you know that questions and sharing information and experiences is what this Forum is about, Dave.

This Forum has been invaluable to me.  Truth be told, I've done more reading and learning than I've been able to do sharing.  Hehe

Would love to see pictures of the '60.  If you're able to post any.  I love to see the other owner's cars (and trucks!) and admire each and every one!  Who doesn't love a vintage Ford?

Welcome! There is a wealth of knowledge and experience here and people who are eager to share it. Don't see a lot of '60's . Photos would be appreciated.

Would love to put up a photo or two, not sure how. Besides the only ones I have are on film (remember that stuff?). Anyway as we all know when a car sits in the garage for any length of time, they quick become a shelf. So, not a lot to show right now. Dave.

A little back ground on my old heap. Bought the Fairlane (4dr) in 1995 or 96 from the second owner. Drove it for 24000 daily driver miles. Parked it in 2000 with transmission and distributor problems. Even though the 223/3-speed drove fine (when all was working right) I knew I wanted more power. Originally thought about a 4.6L swap, then decided a 302 would be a better idea. Never really thought about a Y-Block until finding this place. After buying a parts car, mainly for the tinted glass, my mind was made up. Its frozen 292 just looked right sitting between the fenders.

Of course we all know bigger is better, so I started to look for a 312. The first one I looked at was a 292. But, the second one was real. Out of a 1957 Mercury. It too is frozen and I've only started taking it apart. Don't want to damage any thing if possible. One thing that did impress me -no slop in the timing chain. Now if I can get the pistons to move! Dave.
