How do you know when you get an IM?  I don't see anywhere you can click on for them.

Paul.  I've not received any instant messages since the latest software upgrade so I'm not even sure that feature even works on my end.

Click on the gear looking icon at the top right, a drop down menu appears, Edit Profile, Public Profile, Inbox...As far as any sort of notification, I haven't had a PM yet either, so I don't know.If you actually mean Instant Message, which you said and not PM, then it looks like you have to set it up in your profile and I imagine you would get notification from the Instant Messenger service you use.

The whole notification process isn't working for me. I don't even get email notifications to threads I've subscribed to, including ones I've started.I simply check back regularly to see if there've been new posts.

I just noticed I got a PM from someone.  An envelope appeared next to that gear in the upper right.  When I placed the mouse pointer over it it indicated "1 unread."  After checking the PM, that envelope went away.I didn't get any kind of email notification but something did notify me.
