I recently returned from a trip to Italy and while on the cruise part of the trip I met a fellow old car enthusiast and all round good guy. He is from St George Utha and owns several old vehicles including a couple of T birds. His name is Dave Betteridge and in 1966 he won the AHRA World Championship F/HR class at the Lions Dragstrip. I believe he was driving one of his T birds with a Ford small block I think. He said he attributed his success to modifications that he did to the small block head. In the December 1966 issue of Hot Rod magazine they did an article called "Plug Pointin'" documenting the modifications. Dave says that this article put his Engineering/Fabrication business on the map and earned him great success. I have seen a copy of this issue on Ebay and sure enough one of the Tech articles is titled "Plug Pointin". If anyone could e-mail me a copy of that article it would be greatly appreciated. Otherwise I will break down and get one from Ebay. Thanks.

That would be on pages 92 and 93. PM me with your email and I'll scan them for you. I remember actually trying this on my 62 Comet with a 170.
