Hello,
I worked with Chris Larsen, and am a fellow car guy (although Mopars), anyway...
I have absolutely no idea if you knew Chris Larsen, but I know he was very, very into the ford Y block in the 2000-2010 era; he moved on to other things in his life, but cars and his truck were and are a big part of his life....
I know he spent much effort hand casting a valve cover for the y block as well as an intake and had dreams of doing a complete head.
if you did know him (or if you did not) he passed away two weekends ago, I am trying to let everyone know that he may have touched; if you had no dealings will him - fine; if you did please pass the word that he is no longer with us. I know the ford Y block community was very tight nit and was something that he was very passionate about.
I am only emailing you posting this based on a google search of Ford Y block people, but I know at one time this was one of his full time activities (he was also a quite well known and accomplished violin bow maker) and i wanted to pass on the sad news.
They are doing a remembrance this Saturday (2/22/2014) - in Cincinnati, if anyone might be interested in attending. Email me for the details.
With very saddened regards

Thank you for relaying this sad news about Chris. Another fine person I met thru this website AND a trip to Columbus, The Y-block shootout. May he rest in peace. I remember seeing those valve covers he was making!

Sorry to hear about Chris passing away. He use to show up at the Y-Block Shootouts but hasn’t been there lately. May he rest in peace.
