I have a 56 Fairlane with a stock 292 v8. 3 speed manual trans. Will a Jeep 5 speed t5 bolt up to my 292 y-block? What will I need to make this swap? Thanks, Bill

By the most literal interpretation of "bolt up," meaning that you just bolt things on, no cutting, no grinding, no clearancing etc, there is no such thing for any of those older cars. I can't tell you exactly what will be required for your '56 but expect it to l be more than simply bolting things up.
If the input shaft length is sufficient, it will bolt up to the engine. It will need an adapter. If the Jeep T5 bolt pattern is unique, it will probably have to be a custom made adapter.

This adapter will bolt a Ford T5 to your bellhousing. Will work if a Jeep T5 has the same bolt pattern.
