Good Morning guys. Does anyone have the measurements or diagram of the placement of seat belt mounting holes for a ’55 Ranch Wagon orSedan? Front and rear. I have Dyna-mat on my floors and didn't think to look if the were any markings before I laid it down.

You all were a great help when I needed the location ofholes and wire routing for power windows and locks. Thanks again Ol’ Ford Nutfor the diagram where to drill the holes. Smooooth

Could you find them from the underside of the car?

Gary, I don't know... w00t Are they marked in some way from the bottom? Maybe a little divot? That would be great if they are. The car never had seat belts in the past.

I'll have to jack 'er up and see... It is kind of warm today. Nice day to lay on the nice cool cement, haha.

Edit: Well not as warm as where you are...w00t Only 78°F here.

I did find this but even if my eyes were good I wouldn't be able to read it.

Then I found the Ranchwagon rear seat on The Ford Barn. I can make out most of the measurements with a magnifying glass. Appear they are referenced to the centerline of the drive shaft tunnel.

With the Plethora of knowledge and resources on here I'm hoping someone has a larger scan.Smooooth

On your computer at the top is VIEW click on that and look for ZOOM. I tried 400% and it was still hard to read, the first I can not read at all.

The rear seat I can read pretty good with a magnifying glass. If I try to zoom it gets all pixelated. The rear one is definitely the one I want, sez it for "six passenger models only". The one for eight passenger is a little different.

The one for the front seat looks like it was just a bad scan to begin with. Should be the same as two door sedan.

Hope someone knows what book these came out of.

I'm going to have to wait until my grandson gets home from school to see if he can read it.

In the mean time I can start on the rear set belts.

Try here for the rear seat locations: http://classiccarradiodoctor.com/fordseatbelts.htm

I have the jpegs of the front seat belt installation diagrams as the one in the earlier post but the images do not upload here to their actual size.

Hi, could you e-mail it to me? My e-mail address is in my profile. Thanks for your help.

Unfortunately they're on my computer at work. If I don't forget, I send them out to you on Monday.

No problem, it's been without seat belts for the last 58 years, haha w00t

Can I get a copy too, please? I have the bad scan drawings also and like MC, when they get enlarged they're even worse. The rear drawings you added here are perfect! Thanks.

Unfortunately they're still on my computer at work. I didn't hear back from MC if the copies he got were OK. I emailed him through this site.
I could try the same for you.

MC, did you ever get them?

Email sent.

DJ, No I never received anything from this site... well, from you anyway. For some strange reason I get an e-mail every time McTim posts something...w00t

See if these links work.

They were attached to the emails.

It's strange they don't give measurements for the fronts like they do for the backs. Anyway they give me an idea of where they are located. It's not a show car so it won't matter too much if I'm off an RCH or two. I didn't realize that the front inboard mounts were actually on the drive shaft tunnel or the rear outboard mounts were on the wheel wells.

Thanks for your help.

I'm glad they showed more detail.
Here is a link to a pdf that has a little better detail. See if it works.

DJ, I got the email but no attachment. The link on the post will work. Thank you!

I don't know why you couldn't see the same link in the email but I'm glad you could see the link in the post.
There must be something wrong with the email system here.
