Are these a direct replacement for a 312 motor.

The ball and cup size (3/16 radius) and tube size (5/16) are correct. The effective length varies depending on a number of factors. You can easily measure the effective length if need be.

Would said push-rods fit a 292 and would they be better than my brand new stock ones, ie. will it make the truck go faster?

Unfortunately, pushrod length on a y-block is not simply a matter of the engine displacement size.
What Greg was referring to is that different year FoMoCo y-block cylinder heads in combination with different ratio rockerarms (1.54 or 1.43 to 1) result in two (?) different common pushrod lengths for y-block engines.
Google 'John Mummert' and review the pushrod offerings on his web site for more information on this.
The tubular pushrods are desirable for reliability purposes only. They will not increase horsepower.
Hope this helps!

Im running ECZ-G heads, with 1:54 rocker arms on a 292?? I'll go check the bible (John Mummert)
edit: Just got off the phone with "John", these, by what i understood are for the 1:54 ratio rocker arms. He stocks em for $75.00

I have never seen any evidence that rocker arm ratio of 1.43 or 1.54 affects p/r length. The 75.00 pushrods are mild steel.
What he is selling in this ad are chromoly pushrods and sell for 130.00.
They could increase performance if you are using a lot of spring pressure, say 300# open and running to high RPM. The mild steel pushrods would likely flex under they conditions.
He says they are 8.00" effective length. Add .187" for overall length.
That means they should work with 56-59 heads.

Greg: Did I get your zip correct, you're in Pullman Washington? Will you mail to B.C. ? (to near Vancouver)

So you got the payment, I can assume that the push rods are being sent? I was not able to email you privately because it says you had exceeded your limit... any problems i should know about?

The pushrods have been sold to Ghsthrss, I have his payment, and they will be en route by the end of the day.
Thanks,
Greg
