Paul, I think you are technically right!  It is a 58-59 Rambler American 195.6 engine.  It seemed so strange and was so cheap I couldnt pass.  No intake manifold!?

Damn....I poked my head through the windshield of a 59 Rambler American as it hit a very solid oak tree in Saratoga, Ca. 17 year old high school buddies and not enough sense between the three of us to slow down. We all thought it was hilarious. It was the end for the Rambler.

         That's one way to get it out of second gear..........remove the transmission. As in "Hey buddy, how do you get this thing out of second gear?" Beach boys, Jan & Dean? about 1960 for you youngsters.
