Frank, they still do the short track motorcycle racing on the lake in front of my house. It is fun to watch those guys on the ice, but in my opinion, they are nuts! Saw one colision where a rider had his head ran over by another bike. Those studded tires are like a chain saw! Another 1/2" and it would be chewing flesh! The other interesting thing to see is the bush pilots. A lot of them pull the pontunes off there planes and replace them with skis. It makes for a real interesting landing on the ice!!!
