Do you know what casting number you need?

John- thank you for the interest, I have two different sets of numbers that were used for the 57 thunderbird, first, these numbers are on the inboard side of the cylinder,(that is- readable from the passenger side of the car), FAA2155A and it also reads 1" DIA. There are other numbers on the cylinder that vary according to the time of cast On the other cylinder, the letters BB appear on the drivers side of the cylinder, their are other numbers above the BB that vary depending upon the casting date. These of course are raised numbers and letters. Got one? Richard

I'll take a look tomorrow. Do you have a preference which number? What do you consider "rebuildable"? Pitted to the point it needs a stainless sleeve? Some pits are inevitable. Is the "correct" cap available from the T-Bird vendors?

Well I am not sure if the numbers and the BB are on the same master. I dont think so. any cylinder that fits this criteria will do. the cap can be had as a reproduction, unless you have an original, I think the cap will have the letters BB on it. Thanks

Took a look today. Only found one, it has the FAA number on the RH side. The bore is pitted some, may need a sleeve. There is no cap on it. You can have it for $10 plus shipping from east central IN.

John-you say the master has the FAA2155A number on the inboard side,(passenger) what does it have on the outboard side?(driver side)

Here are all the numbers. Inboard, FAA2155A. Slightly above and to the right of this is a small 5. Below the FAA is USA. Below that LD. Below that 1" DIA. On the other side is cast, but made to look like a metal tag held on with two screws. Cast in this "tag" is F20F. Below that is BB.

John- Do you by any chance have an old Holley carb? ecz 1273-1 Ad? I have one but It is not in the best of shape. This is the 57 t-bird 312 carb with automatic trans. from the factory.

Richard: Don't have that carb. New replacements are available from the T-Bird vendors. You'll need their adaptor fitting also so the fuel line will clear the air filter.
