I'm working on a '59 f250 and finally found a 292 for it. I want to get rid of the goofy cross over pipe so I can run dual exhaust.

I'd like to get full length headers for it but am not sure which ones are good or which ones will fit the truck without hitting anything. I will be leaving it at the stock ride height so should have plenty of clearance there.

Where I live I don't need to pass any kind of emissions or inspections(was told full length headers don't pass smog?), so that won't be a problem.

Posted this over on FTE but wasn't getting any solid answers.

This is my first yblock and really first old American vehicle I've worked on/restored.

thanks

Y-Guy Racer:     "Reds" has them and fit is good. You might want to look

at Mummert's site also.(Lots 0f good info there) Plus try

the other links from this site....

depending on funds available check with Ford Powertrain. They have great headers. Also Sanderson in SF. Reds is most economical set to buy. They fit well and should give good service.

Patriot sells long tubes. I have a pair installed on my 1959 f-100. I bought them through summit racing. You may have to look up the patriot catalog and get the number. I paid $180 for the pair.

Stan's Headers have a tri-Y.

I used the Patriots and the fit is great, however they don't look like they would last a long time.
